Im Wischen is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony town of Melle in the district of Osnabrück .

The nature reserve with the sign NSG WE 195 is 13  hectares in size. It is located on the southern slope of the Limberg, south of the Wiehengebirge in the Ravensberger Hügelland and east of the Meller Berge . In the eastern part of the nature reserve, a source brook has partly dug deep into the sandy subsoil, creating a gorge-like notch valley . Spring water seeps out from numerous places on the slopes.

In the damp valley as well as in the neighboring valley area to the west, which is part of the catchment area of the stream, alder-ash forest grows , which merges into beech forest on the valley flanks .

In the west of the nature reserve, grassland adjoins the wooded areas; above the nature reserve there is a sand pit . The area between the two valleys has now been filled with rubble and is slowly being reclaimed by nature. The forest in the north of the nature reserve has been deforested.

The area has been a nature reserve since May 20, 1989. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Osnabrück.
