The Venner Moor is a 220.0  hectare nature reserve in Lower Saxony . It is located in the district of Osnabrück between the places Venne (Ostercappeln) and Hunteburg . It is registered with the Lower Saxony State Agency for Water Management, Coastal and Nature Conservation (NLWKN) under the registration number NSG WE 140 .

history

With the first ordinance of July 22, 1983, the Venner Moor was declared a nature reserve. The currently valid ordinance dates from July 1, 1992. Responsible is the Osnabrück district as the lower nature conservation authority.

Others

A Venner Moor nature reserve of the same name is located near Venne (Senden) in the Coesfeld district in North Rhine-Westphalia .
