In Jiewitt is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxon municipality of Neuenkirchen in the joint municipality of Neuenkirchen in the district of Osnabrück .
The nature reserve with the sign NSG 165 is 8.4 hectares in size. It has been a nature reserve since November 2, 1985. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Osnabrück.
The area is located southwest of Neuenkirchen and protects the remainder of a small bog covered with birch forest. The moor remains are surrounded by inland dunes of the Plantlünner sand plain , on which pine and birch-oak forests grow.
The nature reserve is almost completely surrounded by agricultural land . A cultivated strip, which is also used for agriculture, extends into the nature reserve. On the western edge there is a small area where sand is extracted.
