Culture and sights

The sights of Eggermühlen are accessible via the Artland Route holiday route .

The manor of the noble von Boeselager family, built in the 13th century, is located near the town center . This came into the possession of the property through purchase in 1654, which had originally been given as a fief by the bishop in Osnabrück . The von Boeselager family expanded the property into a castle in 1714. In 1754, Johann Conrad Schlaun created the orangery in the palace garden, which is still preserved today . A palace chapel was added in 1869.

About one kilometer above the castle, in the district of Beste, is the fully restored, functional overshot watermill Wöstenesch on Eggermühlenbach , a left tributary of the Hase .

The Catholic parish "Assumption of Mary" developed from the former chapel parish of the castle and built the church in 1957.
