Buildings

The foundation stone for the Catholic Church of St. Katharina in the center of Voltlage was laid in 1752. A good three years passed before it was inaugurated. Externally, the church makes a very simple impression, but inside there is one of the most splendid Baroque altars in the area. There is also a very rare Klausing organ in the Katharinenkirche, which, however, urgently needs renovation.

There are some bus connections from the Verkehrsgemeinschaft Osnabrück from Voltlage to Neuenkirchen, Merzen, Fürstenau, Recke and an hourly connection to Osnabrück.
