Vincent Lüps

Vinzenz Lüps (born February 26, 1981 in Munich ) is a German snowboarder .

Growing up in Utting am Ammersee , Vinzenz Lüps attended the Waldorf School in Landsberg am Lech and graduated from the High Alpine Institute in Ftan (Switzerland), which he graduated in 2000. In the same year he was also junior runner-up in the halfpipe.

Successes: 2nd place Nippon Open 2004, 1st place European Open HP 2003, 1st place Kaunertaler Opening Slopestyle 2002, 1st place FIS World Cup Stoneham / Canada HP 2002. At the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin he finished ninth in the halfpipe Space.

In the meantime, Vinzenz Lüps is concentrating primarily on film projects (seen in the Isenseven films "..., well?" And "Prediculous"). Most recently he was seen in the MMP production "Green", which was included free of charge in the German snowboard magazine "Snowboarder MBM". He released his first own snowboard film production, Ponchoshot, in 2005. It was attached to the largest European snowboard magazine SnowboarderMBM and thus reached a circulation of almost 40,000 DVDs. In 2006, with the release of the critical short film "Hyperventilator", there was a reorientation in the film business.

Before the 2007/2008 season, Vinzenz Lüps announced the official end of his career and enrolled to study philosophy. In addition, he ran on the list of Free Voters for the municipal council of his home municipality Utting am Ammersee, but did not get a sufficient number of votes.
