Vincent von Schleinitz
Vinzenz von Schleinitz († 1535 ) was Bishop of Merseburg from 1526 to 1535 .
Vincent came from the von Schleinitz family , who provided other bishops in the dioceses of Naumburg and Meißen. Before being appointed bishop, he was canon in Naumburg and Merseburg. As a bishop he did not succeed in containing the spread of the Reformation in his diocese. In the late 15th century he lived in the curia of the Naumburg Cathedral. Bishop of Merseburg since 1526, he is said to have been buried in the Merseburg cathedral after his death in 1535; There is, however, an elaborately created tomb in Naumburg Cathedral.
