Violent Force is a German thrash metal band from Velbert , which was founded in 1984, disbanded in 1989 and came back together in 2009.

Band history

Violent Force was founded by Lemmie ( bass ), Stachel ( guitar ), Waldy (guitar), Atomic Steif ( drums ) and a singer (name not known). The latter got out shortly after the band was founded, whereupon Lemmie took over the vocals. In 1986 Atomic Steif switched to the thrash metal band Living Death and Lemmie also left the band. When Hille came on as the new drummer, Lemmie also came back to the band. That year Waldy and Lemmie also changed instruments, so Lemmie played guitar and Waldy bass. In 1986 Violent Force took part in the ZDF film Loser , where she appeared in the Carl colliery , where she played Dead City . In the same year the sampler X-Mas Project appeared , on which Lemmie and Hille sing along in the choir for All Years . In 1987 Violent Force recorded their only album Malevolent Assault of Tomorrow , on which Atomic Steif helped out with some songs, in the Karo Studio Münster under the production of Kalle Trapp , and contributed the piece Soulbursting to the sampler Teutonic Invasion Part 1 . Many live appearances followed by the band, but the real success failed to materialize. The band broke up in 1989 after losing the rehearsal room. Lemmie founded together with Atomic Steif, who also plays with Holy Moses , and other Living Death members the band Sacred Chao, which recorded their only EP in the same year . When the band Sodom (which Atomic Steif was employed at the time) celebrated their anniversary in 1994 at the Zeche Carl, Lemmie had a guest appearance when the Violent Force piece Dead City was played. In 2005 a DVD box for the film Loser was released with bonus material contributed by the band. The planned best-of CD was not released for this. In 2009 Hille and Stachel got together again and surrounded each other with the musicians from Rezet. This is how the formation Violent Force and Friends was born.

style

The band plays fast Thrash Metal, which is reminiscent of the early works of Deathrow or of Sodom's Expurse of Sodomy .
