Janet Klein-Filbrich (* 1. November 1977 in Großbreitenbach as Janet Klein ) is a former German biathlete .

Career

Janet Klein-Filbrich moved to the Oberhof Sports High School together with her fellow citizen Andrea Henkel in 1991 . In 1997 she won the silver medal with the German relay team at the Junior World Championships in Forni Avoltri with Andrea Henkel and Martina Glagow . In 2000, Klein-Filbrich took part in the European Championships for the first time and won the bronze medal with the German relay team, which also included Kati Wilhelm , Simone Denkinger and Peggy Wagenführ . In 2002 she won relay gold in Kontiolahti together with Simone Denkinger, Ina Menzel and Sabrina Buchholz . The following year in Forni Avoltri she did not get into the medal ranks in any competition. It was once used at the 1998 Biathlon World Championships . With the team, however, she only came in eleventh place.

Klein-Filbrich made his debut in Pokljuka in 1998 in the Biathlon World Cup and was 26th in the individual. In her second race, she was tenth in the sprint at the same World Cup. It was her best ever World Cup result in a single race. Three years later she won a World Cup in the same place with the relay.
