Virginia López (triathlete)

Virginia López (* 1980 ) is a Uruguayan triathlete .

Virginia López finished seventh at the ITU Triathlon Pan American Cup in La Paz with a time of 02:27:58 hours. She took part with the Uruguayan team in the South American Games 2006 in Buenos Aires and finished the triathlon in 13th place. The following year she was 14th at the South American Championships in Salinas in March and a week later reached 11th place at the ITU Triathlon Pan American Cup in Lima with a time of 02:10:46 hours. This was followed by a ninth place in April 2007 in Buenos Aires. López then belonged to the Uruguayan squad at the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro . There she finished the race in 25. Again she was part of the field of participants at the South American Games 2010 in Medellín and reached 15th place. In June 2011 she started at the Ibero-American Championships, but did not finish the competition there. A week later, López was classified in 13th place at the Caribbean Championships in Guatape , before another week later she was tenth at the ITU Triathlon Pan American Cup in Coteau du Lac . She was also a member of the Uruguayan team in Guadalajara at the Pan American Games in 2011 . However, in this competition she was disqualified.
