His great-grandson, the 4th Viscount, was also given the title of Baron Brodrick , of Peper Harrow in the County of Surrey on June 11, 1796 . This title belongs to the Peerage of Great Britain and, unlike its Irish titles, was associated with a seat in the British House of Lords .

His second-degree great-nephew, the 9th Viscount , was raised on February 2, 1920 in the Peerage of the United Kingdom to Earl of Midleton and Viscount Dunsford , of Dunsford in the County of Surrey. These two titles expired on the death of his son, the 2nd Earl, on November 2, 1979. The Viscountcy Midleton and the two baronies Brodrock fell to his second cousin as the 11th Viscount.

The historical family seat of the Viscounts was Peper Harrow near Godalming in Surrey until 1944 .
