Vista Outdoor is an American holding company for several weapons and ammunition manufacturers as well as for manufacturers of so-called outdoor products. The company emerged in 2015 from the former civil division of Alliant Techsystems , which had existed since 2001 and at that time gained its independence. The company's brands include CCI , Bushnell , Federal Premium , Savage Arms , Weaver and Giro , among others . Vista operates 18 manufacturing facilities in the United States, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Canada. 54% of the turnover is achieved in the area of firearms and ammunition and 46% in the area of other outdoor articles. 70% of customers are US consumers, 20% are international customers, and the remainder are customers from the ranks of the military and official security forces (as of February 2018).
