Vitaliano Poselli ( Greek Βιταλιάνο Ποζέλι , * 1838 ; † 1918 ) was an Italian architect from Sicily who worked in Thessaloniki . The buildings can be assigned to eclecticism and quote European as well as Islamic architecture.

biography

Poselli was born in 1838 and grew up in Sicily. He was brought to Constantinople by the Sultan, in 1885 he moved to Thessaloniki and started his own business as an architect, but continued to receive public contracts. He was followed around 1890 by his Torinese compatriot Pierro Arrigoni .
