Vito Bratta
Vito Bratta (born July 1, 1961 ) is an American guitarist and songwriter.
He became known through his collaboration with Mike Tramp, James Lomenzo and Greg D'Angelo from 1983 to 1992 as guitarist and songwriter for the American rock band White Lion . Vito's original style is highly recognizable and is characterized by unorthodox rhythm play and complex, melodic solos. This brought him a large fan base worldwide and several awards, including "Best New Guitarist" in 1988 by the "Guitar World Magazine". He himself names Eddie Van Halen as his main influence. Before White Lion he played largely unsuccessfully in the band Dreamer .
After White Lion broke up , Vito produced another album for the band CPR on Atlantic Records. Despite its cult status, Vito could no longer gain a foothold in the music industry after 1994 and gave up professional music.
In 2003 Mike Tramp, the former lead singer of White Lion , tried to reunite the band with Vito Bratta. But the attempt failed because of Bratta's indignation. Tramp organized a group of unknown musicians and named the band "Tramp's White Lion". He released an album - Rockin 'in the USA in 2005. After that, the band split up and Tramp said there would never be a reunion due to Vito's unwillingness to perform.
