Jörg Bombach

Jörg Bombach (* in Offenbach am Main ) is a German radio and television presenter and former head of the Hessischer Rundfunk pop wave hr3 .

Life

After graduating from the Helmholtz School in Frankfurt , Bombach worked for various regional newspapers , the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and in the Frankfurt office of dpa . For a while, Bombach worked as a ship musician at Hapag-Lloyd and later was a member of the punk band Strassenjungs . During his law studies , which later made him a fully qualified lawyer , he worked for the first time at Hessischer Rundfunk.

In the early 1980s, Jörg Bombach presented his first radio broadcasts. From 1987 to 1989 Bombach moderated the interactive quiz show "Tipp´den Trend" on ARD and on hr television. From 1992 to 2014 he was head of the third radio program of the Hessischer Rundfunk. He also presented the entertainment show Das große Hessenquiz in 462 productions for hr television from 2005 to the beginning of 2020 . Until recently, the television program achieved audience reach that was above the average value of the hr television, which was, for example, 8.6 percent in 2007 and up to 18.3 percent in 2011.

In December 2015, hr television produced the late night show Bombis Nachtwache for the first time with Bombach , which used elements from the earlier radio program Die hr3-Bombishow .

In hr3, he and Mirko Förster presented the program hr3- pop & weck - Die Bombi Show on Friday in the winter half-year . To overcome technical problems during a radio broadcast, he created the talking sheep Manfred in the 1990s. In addition, since 2005 there have been the fictional characters “Men-hostile women's group Hofgeismar”, “The great Wallaschek”, the “Bell of Silence” and weekly live performances by Hessian bands and wind orchestras.

Bombach has been working as an author and screenwriter since 2018.

Jörg Bombach was on the board from 2002 to 2017 and has been a member of the advisory board of Hessenstiftung since July 2017 - family has a future . Since January 2012, Bombach has been the curator of the State Foundation Together in Hessen .
