Vittorio Congia (born November 4, 1930 in Iglesias ; † before or on November 27, 2019 ) was an Italian actor of mostly comedic roles.

Life

After finishing school, Congia gave up his musical training on the cello in favor of acting classes at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia . After starting out in cabaret (including the "Bagaglino"), the short Sard was in roles as a light-hearted, mostly sympathetic-looking youth at the theater (and there especially in revues) such as Senza rete (1954), Buonanotte, Bettina (1963) and Rinaldo in campo (1965) used. Already active in musical comedies and a number of mini-series in the early days of Italian television, Congia achieved great popularity, which he expanded as a frequent stage partner of Aroldo Tieri ( Canzonssima 1960/1961, Za-bum 1964, Orsa maggiore 1964).

From 1960, Congia also played in films in which he played lively characters in schematic comedies and farces by Franco & Ciccio as well as in numerous hit films . After a few larger budget films in the early 1970s and a number of television mini-series , he retired from acting in 1978 (with one exception eight years later).

Congia was also often engaged as a voice actor.
