content
Charlie Logan is waiting outside the jail for his old pal Ben Bellow to beat him up. They both decide to split up and Ben makes a living doing small scams. In doing so, by chance he runs into Charlie again, whom he immediately implicated in a bank robbery after a reconciliation out of reason. However, the two can escape leaving their prey behind until they are placed in a hotel. Charlie is arrested by the corrupt sheriff, but can be freed by Ben. Since the sheriff dies in this action, both have become outlaws, who now form a gang that includes an ex-bank clerk and three shady characters.
In disputes about leadership, Ben can assert himself; after another quarrel, Charlie leaves the group and settles in a town. This is exactly where the gang's next coup is supposed to take place, which fails due to betrayal. The bank clerk is killed; Ben is wounded. With Charlie's help, he can kill the traitors; the friend-foe flee with a suitcase of money. However, the escape leads them into the desert; a stagecoach appearing at the last minute saves them - only supposedly, because only the suitcase continues; Ben and Charlie fail to climb it. On the way through the desert, Ben is already making fantastic plans.
criticism
“What really stands out about the film is the perfect camera work by Aristide Massaccesi; Gianni Ferrio's relaxed, relaxed music aptly underlines the casual adventures of the two heroes. Very entertaining spaghetti western parody with a great buddy team. "
“One of those successful genre parodies that work precisely because they don't limit themselves to depicting a blunt sequence of gags and jokes, but enrich the parody with serious elements. There are numerous successful individual sequences (in this) modest, but very much looking film, which is very entertaining and has a really empathetic plot to offer. "
"Boring Italo-Western without its own profile."
