Remo Capitani (2013)

Remo Capitani (born December 19, 1927 in Rome , † February 14, 2014 there ) was an Italian actor .

After working as a mechanic, among other things, Capitani began his work in film in the late 1950s as a stuntman for numerous works shot in the Cinecittà , but was also used as an actor in many films. Thanks to his abilities, the strong, often full-bearded Capitani was able to succeed in around 45 films between 1966 and 1986 in sometimes comical, sometimes malicious, mostly Mexican-typed roles, mostly in spaghetti westerns - as in his most famous role as Mezcal in The Right and Die left hand of the devil - and was later used in some Decameronese films. He was often listed under the pseudonym Ray O'Connor .

In the new millennium, he played minor roles in two Hollywood productions filmed in Rome.
