Bada alla tua pelle Spirito Santo! is a 1972 spaghetti western that was not performed in German-speaking countries. Made on a shoestring budget, it was not a success with critics or audiences.

action

Lieutenant Albert Donovan's disabled brother married the girl Donovan fell in love with himself. Donovan, who is nicknamed Spirito Santo (Holy Spirit) because he always eats on time to fight for justice and against evil, investigates the case of a robbed gold transport on behalf of Colonel Mills. The funds sent from Fort Phoenix are regularly robbed by the gang around Diego von Habsburg; the frustration of the gangsters increases with every time, since no real gold can be stolen, only worthless stuff. Diego suspects a fraudulent sergeant to be the originator of the wrong transports; However, Spirito Santo can show that the matter is more complicated - Diego's own deputy and a banker also have their fingers in the game.

Eventually, the entire gang except Diego is exterminated, before it turns out that Colonel Mills was just faking his identity and is the mastermind behind the events.

criticism

"This is one of those inferior small-scale productions of the genre that consist of long riding shots and painful attempts at humor," said the Segnalazioni Cinematografiche . Genre connoisseur Christian Keßler certified that the work had at least shown imagination in the colorful composition of the characters, which also exhausted the originality.

Remarks

Director Mauri has produced some of these cheaply produced films at the same time or one after the other, used parts in several works and even created the compilation of some scenes, which was issued as the new film Corte marziale .
