Omero Capanna

Omero Capanna (born April 4, 1942 in Rome ; † October 11, 2003 there ) was an Italian small actor, actor and stuntman .

Life

Capanna, who had three siblings, began his career as a stuntman in Italian films at the age of 17. His father Otello had already worked in this position and thus enabled his son to enter the film business. Over the years Capanna gained experience in numerous films and also played minor speaking roles. With the beginning of the 1970s, the roles became larger; in most of his 428 films, however, his participation was not mentioned. He had a leading role in Un animale chiamato ... uomo! , a spaghetti western, he also appeared in many Spencer / Hill films.

Later Capanna's films were u. a. The Day of the Hawk , Wax Mask and Gangs of New York ; one of his last jobs was stunt coordination for The Passion of the Christ .

Capanna died of a serious illness at the age of 61.
