Franco Fantasia

Franco Fantasia (actually Francisco Fantasia ; born March 5, 1924 in Rhodes , † November 10, 2002 in Rome ) was an Italian stuntman , armorer, assistant director and actor .

Life

Fantasia, born on the island of Rhodes, then part of Italy, began as a minor actor in Italian films and appeared in a few films from 1951 until the middle of the decade. He specialized in adventurous materials, often coat-and-epee films , whereby he not only acted as a tall, slender, elegant actor, mostly with a gray beard, but also as a stuntman and stunt coordinator, later as one of the most respected weapons masters of the bubbly Italian genre reproduction of the time made its appearance. He managed to bring his skills in every genre hip up to the early 1990s in countless movies and so in adventure films , sandals films , war films , spaghetti westerns , crime films and Gialli to act alike. Again and again he took on acting tasks - also under pseudonyms - in the second and third member of the cast list and, as an assistant director, ensured outstanding action sequences in the films. His filmography lists nearly 150 films with Fantasia's involvement in various functions.

He is the brother of Andrea Fantasia , who also worked as an actor.
