action

Canada: After countless attacks by British colonialists, the mestizos along the Hudson begin a guerrilla war against the immigrants. The daughter of the businessman Sullivan, who is friendly towards the Indians, also gets into her hands and serves as a hostage. The young Victor, who wants to avenge the death of his brother and has therefore joined the insurgents, is part of the conflict - not knowing that Sullivan is responsible. He promises the rebels impunity as long as he gets his daughter back. Victor is chosen to bring Ann back.

Victor struggles to escape an attack by the word-breaking Sullivan; Ann realizes her father's true character and joins the young man. They then get into a battle between the British troops and the mestizos, from which hardly any of the natives escape alive. Pursued by Sullivan and his men, Victor and Ann manage to reach the American border. Beyond, they will start a new life.

criticism

The lexicon of international film saw an adventure film "staged with the usual means of cruelty and without concern for credibility."
