Vivian Wu ( Chinese  邬 君 梅 , Pinyin Wū Jūnméi , also Junmei Wu ; born February 5, 1966 in Shanghai , People's Republic of China ) is an American actress of Chinese origin.

biography

Her film career began at Shanghai Film Studios at the age of 15. She later studied at Hawaii Pacific University . She impersonated one of her first film roles in the monumental film The Last Emperor (1987), which won nine Academy Awards , by Bernardo Bertolucci . Vivian Wu worked in the films Between Heaven and Hell (1993) by Oliver Stone , Dinner Rush (2000) by Bob Giraldi, Red Skies (2002) by John Woo and Chinaman (2005) by Henrik Ruben Genz.
