Vlad Mugur

Vlad Mugur (born June 22, 1927 in Bucharest , † July 22, 2001 in Munich ) was a Romanian-German theater actor, director and director.

Life

After the war he worked as an actor from 1947. In 1949 he completed his training at the Bucharest Theater Institute. In 1965 he became director of the National Theater in Cluj-Napoca . In order not to be captured by the Romanian Communist Party, he fled to Italy in 1971. Then he moved to Munich, where he worked for Radio Free Europe . Later he was also employed in Koblenz, Constance, Hanover, Esslingen and Münster. He was married to actress Magda Stief . The Vlad Mugur Prize of the Hungarian Theater in Cluj has been named after him.
