Vladas Stašinskas
Vladas Stašinskas (born October 10, 1874 in Dameliai , Joniškis Rayon , † March 11, 1944 in Kėdainiai ) was a Lithuanian lawyer, politician and lawyer .
biography
In 1895 Vladas Stašinskas attended the Mintauja grammar school and in 1902 studied law at the University of Moscow . He then worked as a paralegal , later as a lawyer in Kaunas (1902-1906). In 1918 he was appointed Lithuania's first interior minister. From June 1930 to September 1938 Vladas Stašinskas headed the national central bank ( Lietuvos bankas ), after which he was appointed Minister of Justice (worked from October 1 to December 5, 1938). In 1931 he acted as ad hoc judge at the Permanent International Court of Justice in The Hague . Stašinskas headed the Lithuanian Bar Association as chairman of Lietuvos advokatų taryba .
From March 1, 1939, he was a pensioner (he received a pension of 1000 litas ).
