Vladimir Pozner
Vladimir Pozner (born January 5, 1905 in Paris , † February 19, 1992 ibid) was a French writer and screenwriter of Russian origin.
Life
Pozner studied in Leningrad and Paris. He initially worked as a journalist and translator. He began his writing activity with reports and novels, the plot of which was linked to war events and the Resistance . The so-called comic war was first processed in literary form in his novel Die Irrfahrt . During the Algerian War, he publicly sided with the Algerian side. Pozner also took a clear stand against fascism and against nuclear weapons in his works. In various essays , he tried to open up Russian literature for French readers ( Tolstoi est mort 1935, Souvenirs sur Gorki 1957).
In 1954 there was a collaboration between Pozner and Bertolt Brecht when both wrote an exposé for the planned film Mr. Puntila and his servant Matti in Berlin . Pozner created several script versions in which others also participated.
