Vladislav Broda
Vladislav Broda (born August 29, 1964 in Třinec ) is a German table tennis player of Czech descent. He became German individual champion in 1994.
Time in the ČSSR
Broda began his career in the Czech Republic. Here he played from 1971 in the Třinec club and from 1974 in Vitkovice Ostrava, with whom he won the national championship five times. In 1984 the team won the European Champion Clubs' Cup, in 1986 they finished second.
After Broda won the final against Jan-Ove Waldner in Rome in 1979 , he became European student champion, took part in three junior European championships, won in team and mixed competitions in 1980 (with Marie Hrachová ) and took 2nd place in singles and in 1981 1981 and 1982 in doubles.
Broda made his first appearance in the national team at the age of 13. In 1981 he participated in the World Championship in Novi Sad in part, reaching the national court 4. In the 1983 World Championship was the team only ranked 10th in 1982, 1984 and 1986 he played in the European Championship , where he arrived in 1982 at double the quarter-finals and became Vice-European Champion with the men's team, in 1984 he reached 4th place with the team.
Time in Germany
Broda has lived in Germany since the early 1990s. In 1991 he received German citizenship. Since then he has played with several clubs in the first and second Bundesliga , u. a.

In 1994 Broda was German champion in singles in Bensheim , and in 1998 in Saarbrücken with his brother Miroslav German champion in doubles. They had already finished third in 1993, and in 1997 they reached the final.
In 1993 he won the European Nancy Evans Cup with Jülich .
Private
Vladislav Broda has a twin brother Miroslav , with whom he played in a team at several clubs (e.g. Jülich, Bergneustadt). His older brother Bohuslav (born November 19, 1962) joined Jülich's 2nd team in 1992. Vladislav Broda is married and has two children.
