Marie Hrachová
Marie Hrachová (born November 12, 1963 in Ostrava ) is a Czech table tennis player . She was one of the best players in the ČSSR in the 1980s. Hrachová and her compatriot Jindřich Panský were considered one of the best European mixed pairs.
youth
When he was nine years old, Hrachová began playing table tennis. Two years later she was discovered and promoted by the national coach Marta Novotná. In 1978 her international success began with second place at the European Youth Championship. In 1979 she won the European Youth Championship in doubles with Alice Pelikanova, a year later she won the singles and mixed titles (with Vladislav Broda ). In 1981 she achieved three silver medals at this European Championship: in singles, doubles (with Miluse Kocova) and in mixed (with Vladislav Broda).
Adults
From 1979 to 1991 Hrachová took part in seven world championships . At her first World Cup in 1979 she caused a stir when she won against the North Korean world champion Pak Yung-sun . In 1985 she reached the mixed final with Panský.
At the European Championships she won in 1986 with Pansky in mixed. She won silver medals at European Championships in 1984 in mixed (with Panský), in 1986 in doubles (with Bettine Vriesekoop ) and in 1988 and 1990 with the Czech team.
In 1984 she took first place in the European ranking tournament Europe TOP-12 . In 1988 and 1992 she was nominated for the Summer Olympics. In 1993 she ended her international career.
In 1990 Hrachová moved to the French club ACBoulogne-Billancourt. In the early 2000s she played with Frýdlant nad Ostravicí .

In November 2010, Hrachová took over from Jana Dobešová as national coach of the Czech junior team.
