Vlastimil Bedrna

Vlastimil Bedrna (born February 8, 1929 in Prague , † March 6, 2018 was a Czech actor .

Life

After graduating from high school, Bedrna enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts and after graduating in 1952 received a first engagement at the Municipal Theater of Mladá Boleslav , where he stayed until 1956 - interrupted by two years of military service. The following year he founded a cabaret theater , now at the Divadlo Rokoko in Prague , and was successful as a comedian with Darek Vostřel and Jiří Šašek . Until 1973 he played the Rococo; then he moved to Divadlo Na zábradlí , where he stayed until 1995. He has worked with all the great directors and has been part of a number of notable productions.

Bedrna was active in around 30 supporting roles for the film; television offered him more opportunities. He was also active as a voice actor; u. a. lent his voice to Homer Simpson for the first 12 seasons. A stroke ended his career in 2005.

Bedrna was married to the singer and actress Ladislava Kozderková from 1972 until her death in 1986 , with whom he has a daughter.
