Vocal Spectrum is an American barbershop quartet. It is based in St. Charles , Missouri .

Band history

All members of the quartet graduated from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, which is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church . They founded the quartet in its current line-up in September 2003. All are members of the group Ambassadors of Harmony , which won the international competition of the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS) for choirs in 2004, 2009, 2012 and 2016. As a quartet they won the BHS international quartet competition in 2006.

In 2003, David Cassel served as the group's tenor (prior to being renamed Vocal Spectrum ).

Tim Waurick produces Tim Tracks to support other barbershop groups.

Awards

The CD Vocal Spectrum II was voted best barbershop album in April 2009 by the Contemporary A Cappella Society . The title Go the Distance on this CD was voted best barbershop song.
