The Ensemble Vokalzeit is a German vocal ensemble from Berlin .
history
The ensemble was founded in 2001 by four singers from the Berlin Radio Choir . It had its first public appearance on October 23, 2001, Albert Lortzing's 200th birthday, in the baptistery and wedding chapel of the Berlin Cathedral . The ensemble works mainly with pianists.
Concert tours have taken the singers to European countries and South America.
repertoire
The repertoire includes compositions by Romantic masters, works from Berlin traditions and rich interpretations of folk songs, but also classical parodies, evergreens, chansons and titles in the style of the Comedian Harmonists .
