Holger Marks (born May 8, 1972 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein ) is a German opera singer ( tenor ).

Life

The singer received violin and singing lessons from an early age .

In 1993 he began his vocal studies with Marga Schiml at the State University for Music in Karlsruhe, which he graduated in 1997 with a diploma. From 1997 to 2000 he was a student of James Wagner in Hamburg. He took master classes with James Taylor (Bach cantatas), Jean-Claude Malgoire (baroque opera) and with Joan Morris and William Bolcom (jazz).

Holger Marks is reluctant to fit into a particular musical genre.
