Volker German

Volker Deutsch (born November 11, 1929 - † July 20, 2012 ) was a German judge and trademark lawyer . As the successor to August Detlev Sommerkamp ("Papa Gnädig"), he was the judge in the first German court show from 1968 to 1978, Das Fernsehgericht meets .

As "Assessor Dr. Volker Deutsch ”, in 1958, he published the essays Can titles be entered in the trademark roll in the journal Commercial Legal Protection and Copyright (GRUR) ? (GRUR 1958, pp. 66–67) and The copyright protection of titles (GRUR 1958, pp. 330–333). His work title protection , 1999 with Tatjana Mittas (later Ellerbrock), 2nd edition 2004, is considered the standard work on the relationship between title protection , trademark law , work title and domain names .

In 1964, Deutsch was deputy legal advisor at the NDR , later until his retirement on September 1, 1994, for many years he was the presiding judge of the 15th civil chamber of the Hamburg district court responsible for competition, cartel, trademark, patent and utility model matters .

Since 1986 he has been a member of the specialist committee for competition and trademark law of the German Association for the Protection of Industrial Property and Copyright .

Since December 22, 1959, Deutsch was married to the later Hamburg Chief Public Prosecutor Heide Deutsch (* 1931).
