Volker oath

Volker Eid (born May 10, 1940 in Kirchheimbolanden , Rheinpfalz ) is a German moral theologian .

After graduating from high school in 1960, he studied philosophy and Catholic theology as well as art history at the University of Munich . In 1966 he was promoted to Dr. theol. PhD. In 1968 he was ordained a priest by Cardinal Döpfner in Freising . From 1969 on he was a research assistant at the chair for theological ethics at the Catholic-Theological Faculty of the University of Munich. From 1972 to 2006 he taught as a professor of moral theology at the Otto Friedrich University in Bamberg .

In addition to theology, he is particularly interested in eastern Turkey .
