Volker M. Haug

Volker M. Haug (* 1965 in Esslingen am Neckar ) is a German lawyer .

Life

He studied in Tübingen Law, where he 1992 the first legal state examination took off and in 1994 with a thesis on a parliament law topic doctorate . After the second state examination in Stuttgart , he joined the Baden-Württemberg state administration in 1995 (head of the central office of the Ministry of Science (2000–2011) and head of the law, policy and public relations department in the police department of the Ministry of the Interior (2017–2019)). He has been a lecturer at the University of Stuttgart since 1992 and honorary professor in the fields of constitutional, administrative and media law since 2003. From 2011 to 2017 he was full-time head of the Law Department at the University of Stuttgart. Since 2019 he has been teaching as a professor for public law, in particular constitutional, European and media law at the University of Public Administration and Finance in Ludwigsburg .

His main research interests are parliamentary, legislative, media, participation and university law.
