Gert Ingvar Severin Hansson (born February 19, 1947 in Gothenburg ) is a former Swedish sailor .
successes
Ingvar Hansson took part in the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich and 1976 in Montreal with John Albrechtson in the boat class Tempest part. In 1972 they just missed winning a medal in fourth place, before they became Olympic champions together four years later . With three wins in seven races and a total of only 14 points, they won the regatta by a large margin over the Soviet and US boats. In 1974 Hansson was first runner-up in the Starboot as well as in 1975 in Tempest, before he and Albrechtson won the title in 1977 and 1978 in Tempest. They were also able to win the title at the European Championships.
