Volker Nickchen (* before 1983; † April 5, 2004 ) was a German football official.

Life

Nickchen was Deputy Secretary General of the German Football Association (DFV) in the GDR from 1983 to 1990 . After 1990 he was a member of the league directorate of the German Football Association (DFB) in Frankfurt am Main. Most recently, he was head of the player department at the German Football League (DFL).

On July 16, 2004, Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Eintracht Frankfurt played a charity match in honor of Nickchen. The income from the game went to the bereaved.
