Volker Paulus (born August 2, 1947 in Gießen ) is a former German volleyball player and coach.

Career

Volker Paulus played volleyball at home USC Giessen in the 1960s and 1970s . During this time he also played in the German national team , with which he finished eleventh at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich .

In the 1980s, Volker Paulus was chairman and coach of USC Giessen when the Bundesliga team with the outstanding Burkhard Sude became German champions three times in a row from 1982 to 1984 .

Later, Volker Paulus was managing director of a Giessen construction company.
