Volker Wasmuth
Volker Wasmuth (born May 12, 1959 in Dortmund ) was editor-in-chief of the German news channel n-tv .
Life
After studying German , journalism and philosophy , he worked as a freelance journalist for the Münstersche Zeitung , the ZDF and the WDR .
Wasmuth was active as editor and presenter for RTL breakfast television between 1989 and 1991 . He then switched to the main news program RTL aktuell as head of duty and moderator .
From 1994 to 2003 he was head of service and second editor-in-chief at RTL Nachtjournal . He then came to the news channel n-tv as head of news . Wasmuth was also the station's editor-in-chief from 2006 to 2013.
