Volker Wittke
Volker Wittke (born June 1, 1957 ; † August 30, 2012 ) was a German sociologist .
After studying, doing a doctorate (1996) and habilitation (2004) at the University of Göttingen , Wittke became Professor of Sociology there (2005) and Managing Director of the Sociological Research Institute Göttingen (2006). His research focus was industrial sociology.
