Volkmar Schubert (born April 25, 1942 in Chemnitz ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 1999 to 2004 he was a member of the Saxon state parliament .

Life

After graduating from high school, Schubert studied electrical engineering at the TU Dresden . From 1967 to 1992 he was assistant and senior assistant at the TU Chemnitz and received his doctorate in the field of information technology .

From 1990 to 2000 he was managing director of the Kommunale Wirtschaftsförderungs GmbH , a company owned by the Chemnitzer Land district .

politics

Schubert joined the CDU in 1990 and became a member of the district executive committee. From 1990 to 1994 he was president of the district council in Chemnitz / Land and also chairman of the parliamentary group in the Röhrsdorf municipal council . In the third electoral term from 1999 to 2004 he was a member of the state parliament of Saxony and was directly elected in constituency 12 (Chemnitz 1).
