The Volksbank Chemnitz eG is the second largest credit union in East Germany, based in Chemnitz ( Saxony ). The legal basis of the bank are its articles of association and the cooperative law . The bank is affiliated with the officially recognized BVR Institutssicherung GmbH and the additional voluntary protection scheme of the Federal Association of German Volksbanks and Raiffeisenbanks eV.
history
Volksbank Chemnitz eG was founded on September 19, 1869. After the merger with Raiffeisenbank Werdau-Zwickau in 2003, the merger with Volksbank Erzgebirge followed in 2012.

Volksbank Chemnitz eG is based in Chemnitz, Innere Klosterstraße 15. The business area extends from Chemnitz over the Ore Mountains to Zwickau.
