The Volksbank Halle (Saale) eG is a German cooperative bank based in Halle ( Saxony-Anhalt ).
history
From the mid-1990s, Manfred Kübler was CEO of the bank. In 2013 Volksbank generated a profit of 1.4 million euros with total assets of 540 million euros. At the beginning of June 2015, Manfred Kübler was given leave of absence from the Supervisory Board. On July 2, 2015, the headquarters of the Volksbank and Kübler's private houses were searched and the public prosecutor's office opened an investigation into suspected breach of trust.
Legal bases
The legal basis of the bank are its articles of association and the cooperative law . The organs of the cooperative bank are the board of directors , the supervisory board and the representative assembly . Volksbank Halle (Saale) eG is affiliated with the officially recognized BVR Institutssicherung GmbH and the additional voluntary security scheme of the Federal Association of German Volksbanks and Raiffeisenbanks eV.
Mergers
In 2016 the bank merged with Volks- und Raiffeisenbank Zeitz eG. The latter will continue as Volksbank Zeitz, a branch of Volksbank Halle (Saale) eG. In 2020 the bank merged with Volks- und Raiffeisenbank Eisleben. The latter will be continued as Volksbank Eisleben, a branch of Volksbank Halle (Saale) eG.
