The Volksbank Müllheim eG was a German cooperative bank based in Müllheim . The business area of Volksbank Müllheim eG extended from Neuenburg am Rhein in the west to Badenweiler in the east and from Bad Bellingen in the south to Buggingen in the north. The headquarters were in Müllheim, with six branches in Neuchâtel, Auggen , Buggingen, Badenweiler, Schliengen and Bad Bellingen.
history
In 1874 an advance payment association was founded by 39 citizens from Müllheim and the surrounding area under the name "Volksbank Müllheim". After the end of the first financial year, the balance sheet total was 51,809 marks. Volksbank Müllheim changed its legal form in 1931 and became a registered cooperative with limited liability. In 1939 the company name changed to Volksbank Müllheim-Badenweiler eG. In 1971 Volksbank Müllheim-Badenweiler eG merged for the first time with Spar- und Kreditbank Neuenburg. In 1992 there was another merger between Volksbank Müllheim-Badenweiler eG and Raiffeisenbank Ehebachtal, which was created in 1972 from a merger of the Raiffeisen banks Britzingen, Laufen, Seefelden, Hügelheim and Buggingen to form Volksbank Müllheim eG. In 2018 Volksbank Müllheim was taken over by Volksbank Breisgau-Markgräflerland .

As a registered cooperative, the highest governing body of Volksbank Müllheim is the meeting of representatives, which elects the supervisory board and co-decides on the main issues of the bank.
The election of the representatives takes place every four years by the members of the Volksbank Müllheim. The meeting of representatives meets annually and performs the tasks set out in the statutes . The supervisory board consists of the chairman and 7 other people. The board of directors of Volksbank Müllheim eG consists of two members.

As a regionally operating cooperative bank, Volksbank Müllheim took on responsibility in the areas of youth development, education, culture, social affairs and sport. In 2011 a foundation was set up to support charitable causes in the Markgräflerland region.
Volksbank Müllheim worked together on educational partnerships with the Markgräfler Gymnasium, commercial schools and Alemannen Realschule in Müllheim.
