Volksbank Raiffeisenbank Bayern Mitte eG was founded in 1895. In 1991 the Raiffeisenbank Ingolstadt and the Raiffeisenbank Pfaffenhofen / Ilm merged to form the Raiffeisenbank Ingolstadt-Pfaffenhofen / Ilm. In 1999 this bank merged with Raiffeisenbank Eichstätt to form Raiffeisenbank Ingolstadt-Pfaffenhofen-Eichstätt. In 2009 the Raiffeisenbank Ingolstadt-Pfaffenhofen-Eichstätt and the Volksbank Raiffeisenbank Eichstätt merged to form the Volksbank Raiffeisenbank Bayern Mitte. In 2018, Volksbank Raiffeisenbank Bayern Mitte eG took on Hallertauer Volksbank eG by way of a merger.
