The Volksbank eG Vorpommern , based in Greifswald is a German cooperative bank in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern .
history
On August 1, 1862, 73 citizens founded an advance payment association in Greifswald. The first entry in the cooperative register was made in 1868. Since 1913 the bank has operated as “Greifswalder Bank eGmbH”. After several mergers with neighboring banks from 1990 onwards, the credit institute continued to develop. Since 2001 the bank has been called Volksbank Raiffeisenbank eG . In 2019 the bank merged with Volksbank Wolgast eG and changed the company to Volksbank Vorpommern eG .
