Querfurt primary school
The elementary school is a listed building in the city of Querfurt in Saxony-Anhalt . In the local register of monuments , the building is listed as a monument under registration number 094 16618 .
On the site of the current building at Roßplatz 4 there was once a courtyard, a hermitage , a monastery and a hospital . The remains of these buildings disappeared after 1754. When the city was looking for a place for a large school building, it decided on this place, on which the school building was built from 1887 to 1889. After its inauguration, it was considered the largest school building in the city with 16 classrooms, an auditorium, the principal's room, teachers' and caretaker's room.
Today the building houses the Philipp Müller School .
