Home care

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Under home care is defined as the presentation and the maintenance of the living environment of human beings as a home in a comprehensive view, especially popular culture , landscape and nature.

Its origins in the 19th century as cultivation of folk culture were the romantic idealization of the way of life of the simple rural people and a counter-movement against the industrialization of the landscape and way of life. As a result of the Völkische Movement and National Socialism , it experienced a totalitarian reception as a homeland security movement within the framework of the blood and soil ideology .

State institutions, homeland associations , such as the Bavarian Regional Association for Homeland Care, and Heimatpfleger are now the bearers of traditional costumes , custom , folk dance , folk song and monument preservation .
