The Von Essen Bank GmbH (advertising own notation: VON ESSEN Bank ) was a German credit institution with headquarters in Essen . It was founded in 1969 as the City Partial Payment Bank Klaus Rolf KG and is active in the private customer segment. The bank is a subsidiary of Fortis Bank , which was taken over by the BNP Paribas Group on May 1, 2009 . In June 2016, the company name and the legal form were changed from Von Essen GmbH & Co. KG Bankgesellschaft to Von Essen Bank GmbH . On April 1, 2019, the BNP Paribas Group will merge its two consumer credit units, Von Essen Bank and Consors Finanz. In the future, the consumer credit business of the BNP Paribas Group in Germany will operate under the Consors Finanz brand .

Branches

In addition to its head office in Essen (Huyssenalle 86-88), the bank had four other branches in Berlin , Braunschweig , Duisburg and Stuttgart .
