The From Tunzelman Point is a headland on the Pennell Coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . On Ridley Beach it is 1.5 km southwest of Cape Adare on the west side of the Adare Peninsula .
The New Zealand Antarctic Place-Names Committee named them after Alexander von Tunzelman (1877-1957), one of four New Zealanders in the Antarctic expedition (1894-1895) led by the Norwegian Henryk Bull , on January 24, 1895 not far from this Headland people supposedly had set foot on the Antarctic continent for the first time .
